OUR NOMINATION SCHEME

As a part of the service we provide to people with chronic illnesses, we send out care packages. This service is offered via a nomination scheme by which someone needs to nominate the receiver and tell us why they should get one.

WHAT IS IN THE CARE PACKS?

We try to tailor the packs to the needs of the individual as much as possible, but mostly our packs consist of feel-good items, such as heat packs, a fluffy pair of socks etc. to go into too much detail would spoil the surprise!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Our care packs are delivered via a nomination scheme which is open to any adult or teen in the UK with a chronic illness. The idea is to give them a little smile when they are struggling the most.

The scheme is designed to brighten the day of those suffering emotionally and/or physically above what they usually experience on a day to day basis and of course for those in hospital.

We send out a small box of goodies in the post with a little note to say who nominated them and why.

Unless the nominating person wishes to be made anonymous for added suspense.

WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA?

The criteria for the nomination is as follows, the individual must:

  • Live in the UK

  • Be chronically sick

  • Be having a particularly hard time or in the hospital

  • Not have received a pack before or have a family member who has either

Additionally, you can not nominate yourself but if you write and tell us you're in the hospital we'll send a care pack out to you. In this instance, you would need to give the address of the hospital and ward.

HOW DO I NOMINATE SOMEONE?

Nominating someone is easy. Just email, or fill in the submission form below. It's important that you give a current email address as we will contact you following submission of the form. Obviously, we do get a lot of nominations so each request submission will be looked at by our board to see if the candidate meets the criteria.

We do request a small donation on sending, which you can do via the donate button. However, this isn't compulsory but will be very appreciated and the pack will be sent regardless if it fits our criteria.

Just £1 will go a long way to helping us continue to support those with long-term illnesses
